"I believe that Azerbaijan will achieve success in the compensatory lawsuits against Armenia," said Dogu Perincek, Turkish politician who has won against the Armenians at the European Court of Human Rights, in an interview to AzTV's "Main topic" program.

He has noted that the truth is on Azerbaijan's side: "Compensatory lawsuits are correct, righteous, reasonable. I am confident that we will be successful in international courts, because the truth is on our side. I will do my best for our people, the Azerbaijani state and nation."

A reportage has also been broadcast on Turkey's "Ulusal" TV channel regarding the discussion of the prospects of suing Armenia on AzTV's "Main topic" program.

It is noteworthy that in 2005, Dogu Perincek was detained in Switzerland for saying that no genocide was committed against the Armenians in 1915. He was arrested for 90 days.

Afterwards, the Perincek vs Switzerland case started, and in 2015, the European Court of Human Rights ruled in favor of Dogu Perincek. It was noted in the court ruling that the Swiss government has violated Perincek's freedom of speech, and the 1915 events cannot be compared to the Holocaust.
